As weird as it sounds, and I think I mentioned this before, but our baby was 100% planned. Yes. We were and still ARE young, but that didn't make us doubt our love for each other or how eager we were about having a little one.
Herman is not the kind of person who likes to show his emotions. When I told him that we were finally pregnant, he didn't say much, but at that moment, I knew he was happiest man alive.
During that time, I was still living with my mom. Of course I had to tell her. Telling her wasn't hard. We have always had a great relationship and with that came great communication. So its wasn't very bad...
Many people wonder how it feels to be pregnant. The truth is you feel normal. Of course is different with every person but I just felt sick, mostly for the first 3 months. Yeaaah, the common morning sickness, dizziness at times, and I felt tired most of the time.. but I think that was because during my pregnancy I had Anemia.
Anemia, for those who don't know is "a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a main part of red blood cells and binds oxygen. If you have too few or abnormal red blood cells, or your hemoglobin is abnormal or low, the cells in your body will not get enough oxygen." (http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/understanding-anemia-basics). Which is pretty much the lack of iron in your system, and later on could turn into Leukemia. And during your pregnancy it could cause problems at birth. So I had to take Iron pills everyday.
During the last months it was mostly feeling uncomfortable. My belly was pretty big. Ugghhhh whenever I would eat I'd just feel like the biggest balloon! I actually had trouble breathing at times. But at the end it was all worth it. On my next post I'll tell you everything about my labor! From the beginning until the end!!!
